SABCO  FALSE  BOTTOM
flsbtm big
We don't have to tell you what happens when a false bottom doesn't center properly!
Many others are made with materials so thin, that even stirring the mash could
damage them.

Be advised that Sabco's all-stainless False Bottom was designed for keg style
homebrew kettles.

Perfectly cut to an outside diameter of 15", this product perfectly self centers
naturally at the point where kegs curve to form the lower dome.

Made from heavy 16 gauge stainless, it also folds in half using two heavy duty
stainless-steel hinges. This means that, if you're creating your own homebrew kettle,
the lid opening can be located higher on the upper dome, creating more capacity,
and yet be as small as 7-3/4" in diameter.
fls btm2 The False Bottom in the photo above
has received a 9/16" center hole, to
accomodate Sabco's "Tri-Clamp Siphon"
assembly as shown. However, you can
purchase your False Bottom with or
without the siphon hole. ( Click on your
choice below )

False Bottoms are also equipped with 2
center support legs that are adjustable.
These give extra strength to
accommodate even the heaviest loads
of grain.
Perforation holes are 3/32" diameter on 5/32" centers.         Brewer Perfect !

Customer Comments

"With respect to the Sabco false bottom, I have one and love it.  I started using a converted keg to mash about 10 years
ago but initially used one of the dome style false bottoms that does not fold in half and does not cover the entire bottom of
the keg.  This style did not work well, it would move around if for whatever reason I needed to stir the mash.  The Sabco
false bottom has been great, it fit very well into my converted keg right out of the box.  My efficiency definitely increased
when I switched from the dome style. I would definitely recommend it."

"I have used these for several years now with great success. I currently own two. Although they seem pricey at first, keep in
mind that other offerings out there may not keep the grain up off the heated surface of the keg kettle if you are direct
heating the mash tun, and this can lead to scorching. Another thing is that with the Sabco bottom covering the entire width
of the kettle, you get more surface area for the bottom of the filter bed and a better and more even flow of the liquid through
the grain bed resulting in a better yield. The hinge is also a bonus as you can easily place and remove it for any normal
size opening. All in all I've never seen a better false bottom, so suddenly the price seems like a bargain."
